Ice Skating

Ice skating is a recreational and competitive activity involving gliding across a surface of ice using ice skates. The skates have a metal blade that allows the skater to slide smoothly, perform maneuvers, and maintain balance on the ice. Ice skating can be practiced in various forms, including figure skating, which emphasizes artistic performance and technical skill; speed skating, which focuses on racing and speed; and ice hockey, a team sport played on ice. Ice skating is often enjoyed on frozen lakes, rinks, or specially prepared ice surfaces and is popular in many countries, especially those with colder climates. It can be both a leisure activity and an organized sport, with various events and competitions at different levels.
