KNVB Cup

The KNVB Cup, known in Dutch as “KNVB Beker,” is the premier knockout cup competition in Dutch football. Organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbalbond or KNVB), it involves teams from various levels of the Dutch football league system, including professional clubs from the Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie, as well as amateur clubs. The tournament typically runs annually, with matches played in single-elimination format. The competition culminates in a final match, where the winning team is awarded the cup trophy and qualifies for European competition, specifically the UEFA Europa League. The KNVB Cup is one of the most prestigious football tournaments in the Netherlands, alongside the regular league championships.
